Polarizing filters and diffusers can be freely replaced. |
Caution when using lights with polarization filters
|
By attaching polarizing filters to both the illumination side as well as the lens side, halation can be significantly eliminated.
For best halation removal, a polarizing filter should also be attached to the end of the lens.
※Please note that the polarizing filter that can be installed will vary depending on the lens you choose.

Microscope with normal LED
ring illumination
|
Microscope with polarizing filter |
When LED ring illumination is used for observation (photo on the left), surface reflection and halation occur at solder and metal terminals, making observation difficult.
When observed with a microscope using a polarizing filter (photo on the right), surface reflection and halation can be greatly reduced by the W filter.

Microscope with normal LED ring illumination |
Microscope with polarizing filter |
When observed using LED ring illumination (left photo), halation occurs on the surface of the vinyl, making it difficult to observe.
When observed with a microscope using a polarizing filter (right photo), surface reflection and halation are greatly reduced by the W filter, and even the edges of the pattern can be observed.

When observed with a microscope using a polarizing filter, the print on the IC chip inside the storage stick and the indentation for recognizing the foot number can be seen, which were not visible in the photo on the left, which was observed with normal LED ring illumination.

Useful options when used with a microscope
To attach the GR80-HN2 to a microscope from another manufacturer
Ring Adapter for Stereo Microscope for Filter Diameter φ48
RA-48
Ring Adapter for Stereo Microscope for Filter Diameter φ49
RA-49
This adapter enables the attachment of the Ring Illumination GR80-HN2 to stereo microscopes with a filter diameter of φ48 or φ49 on the inside of the objective lens tip.
|
|
Attach the ring adapter (RA48/49) to the end of the objective lens. Fix the LED ring illumination there.
