There are several ways to input signals from a high definition camera to a PC.
We will introduce two good usability.
1．HDMI to USB 3.0 converter
The bottom picture is HDMI to USB 3.0 converter (CV 710) of AbverMedia Technologies.
If you have a 3.0 USB port, you can use it even on both laptop and destop.
If you download special software from manufacture’s official website, you can easily record movies and play it again on your computer.
I think, it has a high versatility because it can be saved on PC and can be played on PC.
２．SD recorder for HD
Below picture is SD recorder for HD of microscope
PC is unnecessary. You can save still images and movies. Since it is stored on the SD card, you need to move the SD card to the PC and read it.
Since it has an external trigger terminal, it can be controlled with a foot switch or PLC.
I tried connecting with our full high definition camera.
You can save both movies and still images
