What is Protection Class IP67?

Protection class IP67 is one of the protection ratings defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under the “IEC 60529” standard, indicating dust and water resistance.
Meaning of IP67
● IP (Ingress Protection): A standard that indicates the level of protection provided to internal equipment from external solids and liquids.
● The first 6 = Dust-tight (completely dustproof): This means complete protection from dust. The device is fully protected from the ingress of dust, ensuring that fine sand or particles cannot enter the interior. This is the highest dust protection level in the IP standard.
● The second 7 = Water-resistant: This indicates the device can withstand temporary immersion in water. Specifically, it guarantees that the device will continue to function normally even when submerged in water at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
